Evolving Journey

Evolutionary Astrology

Uses the traditional tool of “description” as a springboard for asking the deeper, underlying questions of the chart.

For example, the description: “You have an exceptionally strong will,” is used to evoke the questions of: ‘How is your strong will essential to the calling or mission of this lifetime?” Or—“Why would someone be born with the need for such a strong will?” Or—“How can you integrate your will with other parts of the self in order to use it wisely and well? And what will it look like if you don’t?”

Takes the traditional tool of “prediction” and uses it as an invitation to consciously participate in the energies that are currently available.

For example, the prediction: “You are going to change jobs,” is replaced with a process that invites you to reflect on the changing tide with regard to career. A look at the spectrum of current energies around your work offers insight and guidance, giving you a feel for the experience at hand. Is this a sudden opportunity paired with reluctance? Are confusion and uncertainty the indicators of a new vision trying to emerge? Is it time for a new role or a different perspective within your existing work?

And most importantly, “What is the underlying importance of this change? How, if used well, does this change serve the whole chart, the whole life?”

Listens to the pulse of the soul as well as the person.

Implicit in evolutionary astrology is the belief that a larger story exists alongside the personal one.  Our choices and consciousness here on earth and in these bodies, are either moving that larger story of soul evolution forward, or hampering its progress.

Thus, in both the birth chart reading and the transit and progression reading, the questions of “Why?” and “What is this experience for?” and “What is at stake?” are addressed.
