The Birth Chart Reading

This reading is the story of your energies—as reflected in planetary pattern that was present at the moment of your birth. Regardless of the length of reading you choose, an in-depth description of the self will be at the heart of it. From this description, the deeper questions of your life will be invoked, as well as the evolutionary strategies that point toward the most satisfying answers.

Description opens the door to these underlying questions:

• What does it mean to be true to your Sun, insuring that your vitality is nurtured, rather than depleted?
• What are your karmic challenges in relationship, and how are they the seeds to evolving intimacy with others?
• What are the roles that could easily pass as your true self?
• What are your key inner conflicts, and what is the integration necessary for those conflicts to serve you rather than permanently vex you?
• What is your primary need for healing in this lifetime?
• What is the default setting in your chart, the source of old soul habit? And by contrast, what is the pull of the new direction for the soul?

This is not an exhaustive list of questions—nor will every reading include all of these questions. However, the list is representative of the kind of questions that I speak to as an evolutionary astrologer.

Types of Birth Chart Readings

Single Focus: This reading focuses on a key feature of your chart; for example, your Sun, and develops it deeply. 30 minutes/$60

Sun, Moon & Ascendant: This reading offers an in-depth interpretation of the three essential parts of the self: the identity, the emotional center and the persona. One hour/$110

Comprehensive: This reading covers all the planets, nodes and angles of the chart. It offers a full description of the self with it's talents, challenges, relationship needs and patterns, career inclinations and abilities, as well as the basis of security and the nature of the core identity.

The Transit and Progression Reading

Your birth chart design remains the same throughout your life—captured in a moment of time. However, the planets keep moving, revolving around that fixed design, making contact with it as they travel.

Through these contacts, known as transits, various parts of the self are called upon to deepen, mature, be empowered, come out of hiding, or break out of limitations to live more fully. These processes each have definitive timing—from a few months to three years in length. 

Another tool for understanding the current challenges and opportunities of your life is secondary progressions. These do not correlate with the ongoing movement of the planets, but rather to a slow development of various birth placements over time. For example, the progressed Sun moves one degree a year, and as it does so, it goes through a few crucial changes in a lifetime. These changes speak of the evolving nature of the self—and specifically, how one's individual purpose is transmuting with time, maturity, and life experience.

In this reading, I will use a combination of transits and progressions to talk about the most important developments going on in your life currently and across the next two to three years.

Here are some sample exploratory questions:

• Is your life’s work going through a metamorphosis? Building to a pinnacle? Winding down? What’s changing in you now that is affecting your career?

• What is the basis of the restlessness, frustration, confusion, sadness, or depression you are experiencing right now? What is this feeling trying to awaken, illuminate or uncover in you? What is its true agenda?

• What is the primary relationship question or discovery for you now? Is your relationship facing challenges or changing faces? And if so, what is the nature of the change and how can you best work with it? 

• Is this a time that is indicative of a move? (Or are you consciously considering a move?) What is the underlying purpose or drive behind the geographical question? What are you moving into or toward that is bigger than re-location?

• What are the changing tides in you now as a person? Is there an emphasis on spiritual development, and if so, what kind? Is personal empowerment a necessary focus? Is it a time to find or strengthen your voice—publicly, professionally, or in relationship? Is your greatest calling now to have fun, relax, and let go? Is it time of risk, increased individuality and freedom?

• Are you in the midst of one of astrology’s major age-related passages, and if so, how can you gain the most from it?

Types of Transit and Progression Readings

Selected T and P: This reading will be based upon the most primary sources of change, challenge, or opportunity transpiring in your life. Typically, it will involve 3-4 processes. One hour/$110

Comprehensive: This reading will include a description of all the major influences in your life around career, spiritual process, spiritual development, relationship, and more. Two hours/$200
